Description
Station 1: Battle Drill
Coach dumps puck in corner.X and O battle for the puck.
He/She who take possession of the puck, skate out of corner and pass to Coach. After the pass to Coach, player saktes around coach as shown and recieves a pass. Goes for shot on goal.
Station 2: Shooting Drill
O stick handles around net and passes to a moving X player who shoots on net. X and O switch sides after play. Ensure that the drill is conducted from both sides to avoid going in same direction the entire time.
Station 3: Minnesota Drill
X passes to O. O stick handles around net while X skates in front of net, pivots and receives a pass from O. X proceeds to stick handle around pylon. X and O switch corners.
Switch sides after 5 minutes.
Notes:
Battle Drill:
Ensure Mites are learning how to protect the puck with their body. Reinforce no hitting from behind.
