Angling with Shoot

Diagrams

Description

O #1 skates around the top of circle for a pass from O #2. O #1 takes a shot and then circles back up the ice for a second pass from O #2. O #1 skates around far cone with O #2 skates around center ice cone. O #1 attempts to enter the zone wide with O #2 using proper angling technique to seal O #1 off on the boards separating the puck from the man. If O #1 beats O #2, O #1 takes shot on net. If O #2 comes away with the puck O #2 can take a shot on net without pressure form O #1. Drill is run on both sides at the same time with X #1 and X #2 doing the same drill.

Notes: Variation: Move lines to opposite corners to practice shooting and angling from both sides.
