Description

4 pass Russian circle

The drawing shows the pattern for one of the skaters. In practice, best way to get the most out of the drill is to have all 4 X's go at the same time.

Here is a description:

Have pucks and players at the corners of the blue line. The first player in each line will be the skaters, and the second players in each line will be the passers.

The first player in each line starts with a puck.

On go the first player in each line takes a stride and then passes the puck to the 2nd player (or passer) in the next line (2nd line). The passer passes back to the skater. The skater then passes to the passer in the 3rd line and this passer passes back to the skater. The skater then passes to the passer in the 4th line, and this passer passes back to skater. Finally, the skater passes to the passer in their original line, who passes back to the skater. The skater then goes down and shoots on the goalie in the net.

In total, the skaters will pass to 4 different passers, and the passers will pass to 4 different skaters.

For the passers, it is really simple, just pass the puck back to the person who passed to you.

For the skaters, they must keep their heads up and make good passes to the passers

If you miss a pass, just keep going and someone will get you a puck
