Gloucester Rangers D zone conditioning

Description

Gloucester Rangers D zone conditioning

This is a hard skate that also works on D-zone positioning, so it doubles as a conditioning and d-zone positioning drill.

It takes about 35-45 seconds to complete the sequence, so it is like a very hard shift.

The 5 players start in their positions as shown.

On go, all 5 skaters start sprinting to their targets spots.

Wingers go to corner of zone where blue line meets the boards, stop, sprint back to their starting spot and immediately repeat so it is there back there back.

Defense skate forwards to the corners, backwards back to their post, and then immediately repeat so it is there back there back.

Center skate to hash marks and boards on one side and then to hash marks on boards on other side and then back to center.

Immediately after this:

the 3 forwards skate to center ice, back to blue line to far blue line and then all the way to the goal line.

the 2 defense skate forward to blue line, backwards to ringette line, forwards to center line and backwards all the way back to the goal line.

The next lines are waiting behind the goal line and get in position after the 1st group is done.
