Description

Double give and go shooting - 1/4 ice version

This is a simple passing and shooting drill to work on movement in the offensive zone.

Set up a pylon on both edges of the space you have to work with and place a bunch of pucks by each of the pylons.

If you have a net, use it, if not, just set up a couple of pylons on the boards to simulate a net.

For the drill, X1 starts by skating hard to the pylon, X1 picks up a puck passes to X2, skates towards the net and then receives a pass back from X2. X1 takes a quick shot on net, and then X1 skates to the other pylon, picks up a puck, passes to X3, skates to the net and receives pass back from X3 for a second shot on net.

After that the players rotate. X1 becomes X2, X2 becomes X3, and X3 heads to the back of the line.

Progression:

- After players get the hang of it, a coach can play some light defense to force the players to time the passes and skating so that they avoid the coach.
