Description
Set up as shown (as shown here is for a pond sized rink, if using full sized rink start X players on the blue lines.
X makes full ice pass to player in far corner, X immediately takes off skating through the tires making as tight a turn as they can to speed them up getting to the spot to cut off the player with the puck
After receiving pass puck carrier goes behind net and outside the faceoff circles all the way down the ice staying to the outside and not cutting to the net until they have passed the blue lines.
Defending player your sole job is to rub the puck carrier out, DO NOT MAKE A PLAY ON THE PUCK !!!!!! TAKE THE MAN !!!!!!
Puck carrier try to shield the puck from the defending player using your body keeping your body between defender and the puck.
If puck carrier gets free take a shot, if defender rubs out puck carrier drill is over.
Get back in lines switching between puck carrier and defender every other shift
