Penalty Kill Forecheck - Loop & Push

Diagrams

Description

In this penalty kill set up, the players set up as in diagram with F1 attempting LOOP and FORCE the opponent to skate out the opposite side of the ice as our BENCH. F2 is set up on the dot on the same side of the ice as our BENCH, D are near the blueline.

As the opponents are forced up the boards, F2 will skate hard and PUSH the puck to the outside and attack the puck. The D's will back out and PUSH towards the far boards as well, attempting to stand up the opponents BEFORE the redline.

After F1 loops, and the opponents are forced up the wall, F1 skates hard to the redline to line up with the Ds and force the opponents ice the puck or turn the puck over.

The the 2 Ds and F1 can't force the icing at the REDLINE, they will continue to back up and line up, 3 wide again, at the BLUELINE and hope to force a dump in, offside, or a turnover.
