The Coaching Vault is one place for all your coaching resources: links, notes, files and images, along with the drills, plans and playbooks you've already built. Open it from Vault in the top menu.
What goes in your Vault
You can add these items to the Vault yourself:
- Links – any web page, like an article or a coaching video.
- Social Media – posts and videos from YouTube, Streamable, Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook or TikTok.
- Text Notes – your own notes, written right in the Vault.
- Files – PDFs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text and CSV files.
- Images – JPG, PNG, GIF and WebP.
Content you build in other parts of HockeyShare also shows up in your Vault automatically: drills, practice plans, playbooks, lineups, itineraries, team videos, clips and bench cards. You don't need to import anything.
Finding your way around
- The main view shows your folders and any items that aren't in a folder.
- Items inside a folder only show when you open that folder. Use Recently Added or Recently Modified to see items from every folder.
- The bar at the top shows how much of your storage you've used.
Opening items
Click any item to open it. Your own items (links, notes, files, images) open in the Vault. Drills, plans, playbooks and other linked items open in their own section of HockeyShare, where you edit them as usual.
Each item has a ⋮ menu with the actions available for that type.
Good to Know
- Linked items like plans and drills can't be deleted or sent from the Vault. Delete or share them from their own section.
- Videos you upload live in Clips. The Vault's Video Upload option takes you there.
Tips
- Use the Vault for everything that isn't a drill or plan: tryout forms, parent letters, scouting links, articles you want to come back to.
- Start with a few folders, one per season or one per team, before adding a lot of content. See Organizing with Folders.
- New to adding content? See Adding Links, Notes, Files & Images.
