Regroup Drill - F Swings

Diagrams

Description

This is a NZ regroup into a 2v0 or 3v0 zone entry. F1 starts with pucks against boards on blue line as shown and passes to strong-side D1 to initiate D-to-D regroup then F1 curls low to weak side. As basic regroup option #1, the F1 should receive the pass from D2 during curl and immediately pass to F2 on the near boards. F2 enters the zone and must cut across while F1 drives to the net for shot (as shown) or return pass then shot. Basic regroup option #2 would be F2 getting the pass from D2 then entering the zone or passing up.
When drill flows, add F3 and change NZ regroup position to high then low. If time, end with breakout using same options to highlight similarities.

Notes: Objective: build off regroup game with 2Fs on regroup, then layer in new pass options, F3, and different regroup depths
Stuff: pucks, 3 pads as shown, cones labeled "F1", "F2", "F3" optional
Coaches: one to start drill and help with lines, one to support defense, one to support goalie
Goalie: work on depth control during rush, be prepared to shuffle across
