This drill was created using HockeyShare.com's Online Drill Drawing & Practice Planning Platform.
Players all at one end in 3 lines.
Lines equally spaced out along the goal line and pucks with the middle line.
Drill starts with all three lines (1 player from each). The player in the middle will take a quick stride up ice and then pass to a player on their left, the passing player will follow their pass to take the lane up ice, of the player they just passed to. The player receiving the pass, will start to cross ice and look to pass to the player right side of the rink. The player passing will follow their pass to get in the lane of the player they just passed to while the player they passed to is crossing the ice looking to do the same thing.
It is best to think of this drill as each line having a lane up the ice (if they were to just skate in a straight line up the rink). This drill is challenging players to pass and cross the ice to change lanes as they move up ice.
