This drill was created using HockeyShare.com's Online Drill Drawing & Practice Planning Platform.
- LW pressuring puck carrier very aggressively with RW pressuring the D man behind the net on a D to D pass.
- C hovers around high slot, be patient. Keep feet moving.
- RD slides across to the boards
- LD slides to the middle and either holds the blue line or backs out slightly.
Notes: Centre and D form a triangle. This allows the D to spread wider and yet still makes it difficult for opposition to get out of their zone.
If the other team gains control of the puck and attempts to come up the weak side boards or through the middle then the Centre becomes an aggressive forechecker attempting to keep the play within the offensive zone.
